Sample Old Brick Chimney Repair

This work involved repairs to an old brick chimney at the gable end of this building. The old brick mortar in joints had broken down and was friable, root growth was evident in joints and the top surface flaunching was almost non-existent.  

The shaft was leaking moisture into the roof space through the shaft wall and the moisture ingress externally thro brick joints was threatening to accelerate decay.
