Cork Gaol

Heritage Project, Convent Avenue, Sundays Well, Cork

Cork Gaol which is situated on an elevated site in Shanakil (Sundays Well) on the outskirts of Cork City had been in a derelict state for approximately 30 years before restoration commenced. This restoration involved the central and west wing of the old Gaol buildings in Sundays Well.  The central and west wings were restored and were developed as an interpretative centre in partnership with Event Management Interpretative Designers
