Castlemahon House, Blackrock, Co. Cork
Castlemahon house was purchased by the Redemptorist Community in 2009. Castlemahon was originally built in 1798 and was the former home of Jimmy Bruen who was a noted golfer who was the first Irish man to win the British Amateur Golf Open. It was formally a nursing home and is now to be converted for the Redemptorist Community. The work included complete restoration to the existing building which is a protected structure and the provision of a new ministry building to the rear.
