FMP Architects are an award winning architectural practice based in Cork City established in 1940 by Frank Murphy FRIAI RIBA. Franks son, Peter Murphy FRIAI took over the practice in 1984 and the firm moved to its current location in the old Granary Building on Rutland Street, Cork in 1994. In 2017 the practice changed its name from Frank Murphy & Partners to FMP Architects and Brian McKeown MRIAI joined Peter as a director.
Since its establishment the practice has undergone significant change with each new generation of partners and design staff all the while retaining the guiding principles on which it was founded: Innovation, Sustainability and good design standards, today these are the core values which continue to shape the practice. Our track record for delivering buildings of the highest architectural excellence, combining innovative design, craft, and environmental responsibility, has been the key to our continuing success.
